Although they have been around for generations,
Go Karts are now often a paid form of entertainment. 
In the process, they have become, faster and more powerful, and have gone from single riders to multiple riders.  There are now several catagories of Go Karts recognized by various organizations.  As with all amusement rides and devices, Go Karts require great diligence in their design, manufacture, operation and maintenance.  In addition, the grounds, track and support facilities must specifically meet the requirements of the Go Kart operation.
